I want one for my Ratmandu. Not sure how much of a practical difference there is between Kydex and Boltaron / Concealex but I'm willing to take the plunge.
Just curious, does anyone make Boltaron in red or orange color?
Not a lot of colors available but some kewl new patters are out in that material, I don't work with it as a rule. I'd stick with someone with experience and really good place to start your search is:
If I was looking for a sheathmaker I'd be more concerned about the sheath style/fit etc. than boltaron/Kydex... I've seen horrible work done with both materials and if done improperly it will make contact with your blade and other "common" problems. Basically, a lot of the problems or issues that people mention as a weakness or an improvement actually have nothing to do with fixing a bad sheath when it comes to these two materials.
I know a little about working with Concealex - been doing so since it first came out, way back when. Only colors i stock are black, olive drab, and coyote brown.
