I am more in to traditional designs and fixed blades but I'd like to have a flipper. I am trying to sell/trade my ZT0100 right now and if I can sell it, I want to buy a flipper to replace it. I was thinking one of the ZT's would be nice, and I know Kershaw makes some nice ones, but I am a lefty so it limits me a little bit.

What's your favorite flipper and why do you like it?

I EDC a Benchmade Mini-Grip but am thinking something bigger would be ideal. I'd probably use it for when I can't carry a handgun concealed, so it can be more "tactical" if it needs to be.

Suggestions?

If price is not a limitation, I'd suggest a ZT0303, it's a really solid knife, very well contructed, and has comfortable ergonomics. It is a bit hefty though. I do like the heavier folders myself though. Or, the laternative would be the ZT0350, it's 10% smaller than the aforementioned knife. It is a liner lock instead of the RIL. Either one has terrific cutting power and is fairly easy to unlock with the left hand (I'm a righty).
If you are interested in a Kershaw, there are several options, the Leek, Shallot, Chive, Skyline, just to name a few.

Maybe the ZT0200? The clip is a 4 position clip, has dual thumbstuds, if you want to use them, but the flipper action is so smooth you probably won't. This a definate heavy duty knife and is actually the folder version of the ZT0100 you already have. It weighs in at 7.7 ounces with .080" thick hardened steel liners, and a 154CM blade that is .157" thick. The new Kershaw Rake is also a very nice knife a flipper, and a smaller knife with a 3.5" blade of composite steel.

kershaw ram hands down beats all the flippers ive molested in my knife keeping lifetime in the $50+- range. buy one and i promise you will not be disappointed.

CRKT M16, just make sure you get one with decent steel. i have beat one to hell and it would still be going strong, but i lost it
i now hafe a new one, and it will get put through its paces within the next 2 weeks (i start work)
they are pretty good knives

Junkyard dog II or zt 0200. I would personally go with the 0200, but that is just my personal opinion. the JYD, IMO, will require a bit of an extra investment because of the butt ugly clip. However that can be offset if you either A. like the clip or B. grind it down yourself.

You know what might work great for you since your a lefty? Try a Kershaw spec bump or offset! Both are flippers, have the stud lock so left handed shouldn't be an issue, and IMO the build quality is equal to my zt's. Kershawdave has them VERY reasonable...

I did a search for that username here (and variations thereof) with no success. I also did a web search for that name. Is it a user here or what?

For a reasonably priced knife, the Kershaw Skyline is hard to beat IMO.
