I've seen a couple of articles for sharpeners and this one has won that award, and that one won the award from this guy, but how do you know which one to buy?
I was looking at Spyderco's and CRKT's (the vertical sprung one), but wondered if I could get easy (but efficient and great) sharpening of my plain and serrated blades.
Any recommendations?

Thanks,
Cleary

The sharpmaker takes a long time to reprofile blades, but it's a good value of the money. Check out the Edgepro if you have a bit(well a lot) more cash.

Get a sharpmaker.

If you need to re-profile a blade, just get an extra course stone and hold it up against the sharpmaker rod to set the angle. Then just hold the blade vertical and pull it over the benchstone the same way you would over the regular Sharpmaker rod.
