First of all I am new to these forums and would like to introduce myself , I am Isaac a 14 year old boy from Malta.
I am looking for a knife that is a plain edge blade not more than 8cm. Preferably a black body+pocket clip. I don't want : Thumbholes ,fixed blades and expensive prices. I would like a good quality knife and not a cheep one that will break within the first week of EDCing it
According to this criteria ,which knife would you recommend me ? Thanks in advance.

How about a Benchmade mini-griptilian?

No thumbhole, black body, black clip, plain edge, and wont break easily. Its well priced too.

Do you have a budget to work with? You said not expensive prices, but that is subjective. Knowing how much you are willing to spend will help us narrow down some choices for you. :)

Edit:
I'll start with this one - a CRKT Ripple in black. Around $80US. Nicely made (superior to CRKT's older models) & designed by Ken Onion. Uses a ball bearing system to open smoothly (just a flipper, no assist) and has an nicely integrated frame lock (almost disappears). Interesting design. I now have 3 of these guys in my collection. I really like them. They come in various colors, including black, and have a pocket clip. Picture borrowed from the 'net:

I've done business with them on a couple of occasions. No problems.

If you're interested in the mini-grip, take a look at the Doug Ritter version. About 92 euros so a bit over your budget, but a very nice knife. Black body + black pocket clip. Stone washed S30V blade. No thumb holes, but does have thumb studs. Easy open, easy close. The axis lock is very cool.

How about a Kershaw Leek with black G10 and S30V steel. I think that is what you might be looking for that fits your needs! If speed assist is not allowed then a Benchmade Mini Grip would work nice for you too! Good Luck! Kevin :D

Unfortunately assisted opening is not allowed in Malta :( But atleast the 8cm law has gone so I am going to buy the griptillian :) only when im 18 .... Stupid laws

They sell Spyderco knives there? The Delica would fill the bill although it might be a tad expensive for you.
