I might be putting the "moron" in oxymoron here but I'm looking for a classic slip joint to clip to my pocket. I just got a new job in an office that enforces business dress, and I'd like to be able to clip a knife to my shirt pocket. I want something with a classic look as not to draw attention (as much as I'd like to whip out my digicam PM2 :D)
Many thanks, have a good one

Agreed. You might be able to get something that is more subtly styled though - an Al Mar Falcon, for instance... or a MCUSTA gentleman's folder MC-5. Not traditional, but perhaps more traditionally styled.

Or, of course, you could make a small pocket sheath with a clip, and put anything you want in there. A GEC conductor #33 whittler in Ebony, makes a very classy suit carry knife.

FWIW - I wear suits quite often, and the Mcusta just looks like a nice pen clipped in my pants or jacket pocket. But a slip joint in a pocket slip/sheath is entirely invisible, and still quite handy.

Shirt pocket? Not sure of any semi-traditional knives that are small enough for shirt pocket use.

How about a nice Victorinox Alox Cadet or Alox Classic, and then use a TEC Accessories P-7 clip attached to the split ring?

I'm not sure a knife clipped to a shirt pocket fits into business dress. Go with a small pocket slip or get a small belt sheath that is the same color as your belt. It looks much better than clipping something in your shirt pocket and can go unnoticed as most people assume it's a phone or something else.

Check out the Case XX Mid-Folding Hunter with pocket Clip - sounds like that may be what you are looking for. I have one in bone stag and it is actually a nice carry knife. It is a little bit too large to clip to your shirt pocket, but, your pants pocket would work fine. It is a traditional knife with extras. ;)

You might find that one of the small Al Mar knives could be carried in a shirt pocket. I can't say for sure. I've never carried any of my knives in a shirt pocket.

Sounds like you need a Chris Reeves Mnandi. I've got one with jigged cherry wood scales, a perfect combination of modern and traditional. The well designed clip will look like a nice fountain pen clipped in your shirt pocket, and because it's so light, it weighs about as much.

Just what I was going to suggest. Perfect shirt knife, but a little expensive.

Take a look at the Cold Steel Tuff Lite. Not a scary knife at all. I would suggest you keep it in a pants or jacket pocket clipped. I really like this knife. It is not traditional in the vein of slip joint folders.

Well I am on the Spyderco side personally. Sqeak, UKPK, Pingo, Spy-DK - plenty of choice with multiple color options, and most importantly, nice and functional pocket clips. Sure Boker Plus also has abundant offers meeting your requirement, e.g. one of my favorites, the Boker Plus Nano 42.

Might not look so "Classic" though.

the Enzo 70 is a superb slip joint
a lovely piece of work in birch or carbon fiber with a Scandi grind in a super steel
and

with a clip
