Recommend me a fix for my blackwash/vintage micarta obsession

So I really like vintage micarta scales, and I think they would look awesome on something with the new blackwash finish (craze I know, but I like them). My problem is, I've never purchased anything custom for a knife, I've always just bought straight off the shelf. Cuscadi scales are awesome, but they don't seem to have much in stock very often, and are pricey. I'm also not sure what kind of knife to pair it with at this point now that the blackwash finish is rolling out to a lot more of the KAI family. Whatever I decide on will be an EDC user, but not hard use, and I would like to keep the whole thing around $200 if I can. What do you guys think? Help!

you could buy a knife you like that comes in blackwash finish and get scales made for it
or buy a knife you like with micarta scales and get the blade acid washed - the Boker Squail would be a good candidate for that

Lots of choices for custom scales- right now the hot new guy (with very reasonae prices that haven't yet got jacked up cause of demand) would be Bellasblades but there are literally dozens of custom makers here. Go to the custom maker / service provider section.

Any idea what type of micarta your after? Paper, linen, canvas, denim? My favorite look is dark maroon denim.

I'll have to check out the denim ones, but I like the canvas micarta that almost look like burlap
