Greetings gents, I'm in the market for another blade to add to the collection.
I want:
-A 3.5 to 4 inch blade
-Under 150 bucks
-On the thin side
(I'm strongly considering the spyderco endura)

No matter how much searching or research I do, my knowledge could never come close to the collective wisdom of the forums. Also, if you've got a suggestion slightly outside of my parameters, I'd still like to hear it.
Many thanks, have a good one

Al Mar Eagle Ultralight is hard to beat for a slim-and-trim carry. There's an HD sprint with a ZDP-189 blade for around $165. The Endura is definitely a great option, but you might look at the Stretch as well.

The Endura is a great knife, I use it for edc and it does great. Works great as a user. Spyderco Military would also work and the Benchmade Grip as well. As far as thin wise though the Endura is going to be a great choice or a variation of it.

The eagle HD was at the top of the list, but I dont know if I can justify the price for AUS8. I have absolutely no issue with the steel (it's served me extremely well in the past) it's just the price point that kind of bothers me.

You might be able to find a BenchMade Lerch on the bay for your budget.

That's why I brought up the sprint in ZDP-189. ;)

Enzo Birk S30V or Spyderco Tuff. Actually don't have either but are two I wanna get. The Enzo's in your price range and you can find the Tuff used for as low as $130 sometimes although new will be over the $150 mark around $200. Have an BM Adamas that I put through paces today with a ton of cardboard and some tree limbs outside. This is the most comfortable knife I have. Love using it.Fits in my hand like a glove. Super stong and heavily built too.Only bad thing is I don't think it's a super slicer. It slices good but not as good as others.I thought out of the box it was just not sharpened well but recently sharpened it and it is just barely better than it was. I can't get it to shaving sharp. It'll take a couple hairss off but not like shaving. Although the only stones I have at the moment are some cheap no name ones from china and a DMT Fine/Extra Fine Diamond hone so I might just need an extra coarse stone to sharpen the D2 steel correctly. My first D2 knife so don't really know how the steel is. Gotta get a better sharpening system anyways. But otherwise really like it. CS Recon 1 also would recommend and Ontario Utiliac II. Not really looking at folders anymore cause am perfering fixed better rescently.

+1 for the endura

Also if you don't already have one, I recommend trying spyderedge knife (endura). Not really a slicer but it will cut anything, it just won't be very pretty.

Not a bad idea. If you go spyderedge maybe try one of the Salt series. H1 holds an amazing edge with the serations.

Caly 3.5. Thin blade. Killer slicer. Great knife.
I own a caly 3.5 and it's one of those knives that I never clicked with. It frustrates me because it's obviously a great knife I just never really fell in love with it. Probly sell it soon.

An option that I just found out about would be the upcoming Boker Plus Urban Trapper. The pros: 3.5" VG-10 blade, titanium frame lock, bearing pivot flipper, under 2oz. The con: China made, won't be released until May.

Endura is a great knife, but I will take Caly3.5 over Endura at any time. With almost the same blade length, Caly3.5 will take much less pocket space. Also I prefer Caly3.5 ergos and finger choil.
