Looking for something similar to this with a good carry/kydex sheath; 3''-4'' blade and about 8'' OAL. The pictured knife is great, just over my budget.

~$75-150 would be great. Do not need exotic metals.

Bradford 3 with the blade material suitable for your budget.

With your specs, lower end. If you can spend a bit more, it rises to higher end. However, not too outrageous of a price.

Besides that, my Bradford is a lot of knife in a small set of dimensions and measurements.

Spyderco enuff

Sorry. Far too expensive at $240.

The civivi elementum fixed.

Cold steel pendleton Hunter.

Bradford is kind of expensive unless one gets the clearance models. Even then, the plastic sheath is another 50 US$, leather is the default option, so still total over OP's budget.

If the tight on sheath is not a requirement, then Morakniv models with their plastic sheaths work pretty well.

I would agree with Drop Bear on the Spyderco Enuff, with the footnote that it starts just above the OP's price range. Might be worth it to get almost exactly what you want.

Crag the Brewer Crag the Brewer makes some very nice knives that fit the pattern.

Hey... Thanks, for the shout out and noticing my work.

I've always wanted to make User knives not wall hangers and safe queens.
I like basic, simple designs made with quality materials, but I don't do budget, low quality work..... But I do try to keep the needs met. I do have a few ideas to keep costs down, but unfortunately inflation pushes everyone outside our comfort zones.... I know, That Sucks!

I've talked about this before, but I don't really make knives for sale....
You aren't buying my knife.
You are buying Me. My brand. Who I am, what I think and feel and do.
Paying for my time. Away from my family. Not working on fixing things on my house or yard, neglecting all sorts of things.....haha. It might take me 10-20 Hours to make a knife. I don't get paid Anything for that. This is my hobby, my passion, for Fun. I do it because I Love knives. I like to make people happy. I make special knives for people who can't find what they need elsewhere. I make them for Them. I hope people aren't coming to me because they want a Cheap knife. I Hope I'm providing them More than that.

*I wish more Makers and patrons talked more openly about Prices.
It's a difficult topic, but very interesting still.
Obviously low cost builds are a challenge. I struggle on what prices should be...?
This is funny, but I also have just the opposite side of the spectrum with difficulties too.

I currently have a person wanting me to build a knife for over $600, and I'm a little uncomfortable making and charging That much too....

But what's nice is that with knife work, there is usually room for everyone.

*Edit to add a couple HSS blanks that can be ground into Whatever shape
