I'm on the look for a mid tech knife anywhere from $1 to $300, blade length, weight and steel don't matter I just want a good quality knife so I can see what this whole "mid tech" knife fuss is all about!

LionSteel SR-1 or 2 used or Aluminum version.

Check out Brous Blades. Awesome mid tech or semi custom as they sometimes refer to them knives. lifetime warranty, lifetime sharpening and there right around the 250 to 300 price range for a mini Division or a T4.

I am not sure if a mid tech is in your price range if you go by the mid tech definition that I know and what most other collectors that I am friends with go by. The closest thing would be a Brous Blades knife. So most of the knives that are still listed above are production and a few are considered production tech which has been a new term introduced for these knives that are not midtechs but still a step above production.

Opinel no8 vinland damascus blade & ebony handle, it's only $299 and you probably be the only or if not one of the few people with a damascus and ebony handled #8 Opinel. I am only somewhat serious about that, it's a straight up collectors knife.

Realistically I honest advice is find out what kind of knife you like and come back to us when you narrow it down a bit more for suggestions so you can spend your money on something you will really like.

300 USD is difficult. But of course Grayman comes to mind. Most mid-techs start around 400. For 425 you can sign up for the second run of Jake Hoback's Midtech Kawaiback. Cannot imagine it is possible to buy a better knife for 425 USD.

Oh I like the looks of that three sisters forge beast! I have recently found out that tanto blades are not for me, although I don't care much about blade steels or handle materials and anything from a 3" blade to a 4" blade

TSF Beast is indeed a great knife. I've had mine over 3 years. It has a thick blade, so delicate slicing requires technique, but everyday utility cutting tasks are a breeze. I 'de-horned' the butt end glass/temple cracker (just a few swipes with a DMT blue), and fitted a double thumbstud, and its in the EDC rotation. Good heavy duty folder in the 'Goldilocks' size range for me.

I'd say pretty much anything from LionSteel (specially the monoblock frames: SR1, SR2, TS1), MicroTech and Brous (except for the Bionic). For LionSteel, I'd include the ones they make for others: Pohl Force, Dendra, Knife Research, DPx Gear, Blackwater, Bastinelli Creations and Spyderco (LionSpy).
