As the title says...

For the whole majority of my spotting time I've used the kind that plug directly into the outlet in most vehicles. As of late I've went through a few lights that either blew fuses, or somehow messed up the circuitry in my truck.

On my drives I light up fields that can extend anywhere from 100-300 yards long, maybe more. Doesn't have to light up the whole field but about 200 yards of throw I think would be good. Trips can last 2 hours, maybe more, but I will not necessarily have the light on for 2 hours straight. If it can be charged from my truck outlet that's fine, I just prefer that it not draw it's power directly from it. I would also prefer that it be LED as I've had some incandescants that blow frequently. I would like to keep it under $100 as a goal, I don't know if this is possible?

I've done some shopping around but haven't found anything that I would be positive that I would be happy with(not enough throw/burns charge too fast), so any insight or experience you have will help me greatly, thanks!! :)

Have a look at Wolf Eyes HID's. Amazing light output but doesn't like to be flashed on and off ....OK if left on for 2 minutes. Can be charged from 12V but has own battery :-)
