Hey, guys, I'm in the market for a new wallet. I'm open for any suggestions.
I carry a few cards, plus my ID, and cash. No leather, preferably, no giant George Costanza wallet, and under $30 preferably.
I've been looking at recycled firefighter and some kydex ones but I don't know how I feel about sitting on kydex.

I switched to all-ett ~10 years ago. I use their Leather Sport wallet but they have many others made out of their nylon.

I know the current EDC rage are the recycled wallets and wallets that look more like gadgets than wallets. But for the past year of so, I've been using Maxpedition Micro wallet, MSRP is 15 bucks. Available in all the "tactical" colors. Just enough to hold ID, a couple of cards & some cash. I love how minimalist it is. It's perfect for my front pocket. I don't carry wallet in my back pocket because I take the subway in Chicago, & besides, it's not good for the back.

Big Skinny has some nice and slim wallet designs, you may want to check them out.

I will second the Big Skinny recommendation. I use a Mini Skinny Card Holder as a minimalist front pocket wallet. I wouldn't trust it in the back pocket because it's so thin it would be hard to notice if it was gone. Since switching to front pocket, I can't stand to carry anything in my back pocket except a can koozie. That's just a bit of extra padding, though.:D

They have plenty of other designs to choose from if back pocket carry is your preference.

If you want a thin wallet also think about moving it to a front pocket. Eliminates the risk of sciatica and allows you to actually defend your wallet. The latter reason is why I've never carried a wallet in the back pocket. Kickstarter has the Urban Slim 2.0 coming soon--it's fully funded but you can still get one for under $20 (3 weeks left), and it's RFID-shielded. You'll have to look it up there, though, as it's not a BF dealer.

Saddleback wallets, nice, and a big selection to choose from, with a lifetime warranty.

Big Skinny for me too! I've been carrying the same one for a few years now, holds up well!

Maxpedition tri-fold. I've had this longer than any other wallet ever, and its still going strong.

Bill's Urban Wallet. Bill of Bill's Custom knife cases, makes an awesome wallet; the outside has two pockets that allow for a knife & light or what ever. I keep a PT CC in in mine. There are 2 separate compartments; one that has the thing for credit cards, ID etc., and another one that is just empty. I keep cash, and my Hinderer pen & challenge coin in that side. He uses excellent zippers. It is an excellent wallet.

Countycomm's NY-LA wallet.

Inexpensive and THIN. They're so great and cheap I order a new one every year.

I use a recycled firefighter rookie made out of boot leather. Great quility and perfect size. Rookie works great for me because I can seperate out Id on one side and cards on other.

I second Saddleback Leather!
My tobacco brown Med bifold could handle a nuclear attack 😜.
I have carried it stuffed full of crap and I've slimmed it down to where I could barely tell it was there while driving long distances.
Superb stitching, solid retention, doesn't break cards, and not smeared with hideous tags or labels.
I buy their products as gifts all the time and it never fails to impress.
Gets better looking with age and is my idea of what a wallet should be.

I decided to get the maxpedition micro for the price. Saw lots of positive reviews

It truly doesn't get any better! I need to buy about 5 spares in case they stop making them.

Here's my favorite money clip but it's a little pricey. Check them out
