Hi All,

Few weeks ago I got 3 blades rehardened. Now I need to put nice satin finish on them. I got one recommendation from Tom Krein, but the guy is very busy.
So, do you know someone who could do the job for me?

We're talking 2 folder blades, top two to be precise, Kershaw Shallot 110V and BM M2.

Masking tape the edge, grab some sandpaper, and do it yourself? :)

Other then that, I'd look at some other knife makers. Richard J does a lot of sharpening, he might be able to satin the whole blade.

Thanks :) I did just that on 64.5HRC balde and it took em 8 hours total to get something satinish, and it's still messy. Don't wanna spend another 16 hours and I still have to clean up this one

:foot: I guess that would take a while. ;)

Other then Tom, I'd say give Richard a ring. Maybe one of the knife makers here on the forum with a belt sander.

I can give them a polish job. are they pitted? or just scratched up.
Are you going to resharpen them, or would you like that done as well.
You can email me if ya want.

How much does it cost to strip the black finish off a blade and put a satin finish on it?
