just as the title implores. i want to try a thick convex, ala rockstead. i wouldn't want to toy with an expensive sprint run though. am quite comfy with zdp 189 now but most of those blades are a bit thin at the edge. i haven't tried a saber-ground zdp endura though.

suggestions?

Anything saber ground should be good. Older Delicas and Enduras should do fine. LionSpy and Starmate (new) should work as well ;)

I did some regrinds on my old Salt 1, Saber Endura and Atlantic Salt.

Found this older video as well.

Wow, cant believe that is a year back already! Have not had any issues with the regrinds so far except my home made one that I ground even thinner and then had some major edge damage :) such fun with regrinds.

Another vote for the Starmate.
Big heavy blade and could definitely benefit from a nice convex grind. VG-10 will be easy to work with as well.
