Hi, Im looking to buy a new blade and not sure where to start.. I've never really owned anything other than a few 20-30$ pieces you'd get at a walmart or something but Im looking to get something nice.
I really like how the emerson blades open easily out of pocket, but I dont want to spend quite that much.. Can someone recommend other blades like them that would open easily out of pocket? I defintely
want a folding knife. Price, under 100 would be great. Thanks

Kershaw makes a lot of great knives, a great edc is the blur. Its worth a look for sure

My buddy has a crkt m16?

I think for under $100 is decent. Opens quick and performs most jobs easily.

Kershaw produces alot of well built knives for under a $100. I always watch videos on any knife I intend to purchase, they can be very helpful in making a decision.

Videos help greatly, also going to a store that allows you to handle and open the knives is a huge plus also.

You can take any spyderco and put a ziptie on the opening hole. It acts the same as the emerson wave. I'm a big fan of the Manix 2, you can easily find these in your price range.

Yes, like HwangJino said, try your best to actually get to a place and feel them .. if not watch videos. There are lots of things in knives to think about and feel is the biggest. How does it carry in the real world. I'm not a big fan of the "wave" feature that Emerson uses. I rarely need, nor want my knife to be open upon deployment. I want control of when the blade comes out. Under or right at $100 is the biggest bulk of knives and some are worth it, and some are way over priced.

To better answer you needs, maybe give more detail on your preferred carry style. Size, weight, length, width, height, blade use, shape, handle material, etc. There is a lot to weed out first.
