Alright guys, after enjoying my knife obsession solo for a while, I reconnected with an old buddy of mine who is also apparently into knives and guns. What I'm looking for is a folder to basically show off. I'm not making any pretenses of an honorable motive here, thus is pure braggadocios, something of a "measuring contest", if you will. Thing is, the price has to be under $200, no Sebenzas need apply. So go for it. Any type of folder, traditional, gentleman's, tactical, slicer supreme, just whatever you carry when you want to show off.

Sounds like you should visit the "Pocket Tanks" thread, then scour the sale forums for a good deal on one of those monsters :p

Here's one of mine:

I'm sure a ZT 200 or 550 would also go over pretty well :)

That Vallotton is sweet; I really need to get one!

I'd go for big and beefy:

Or more refined with excellent materials:

Some people think what I did to my Skirmish devalued it so...

Double edged, waved, converted to tip up, Demko Ti spacer, larger screws.

For sure go with, a PCC barry wood folder, spyderco leafstorm. Most of all a thita damascus folder, or balisong if you want to get some overkill. William henry makes some amazing damascus folding knives, and also for affordable folders, a co wood handles damascus mcusta knife.

non knife people always love my BM 940 for some reason. They never think my spydercos are expensive knives . . . dunno why. What about a bradley alias or a ZT 0550/0560? titanium is always impressive and a lot of people have never seen a knife made out of it.

A couple knives that i think are fun to play and coud be a bit showy would be a Mikov automatic and the cold steel 4" Ti-Lite.

Mine aren't very expensive at all: the Cold Steel Spartan & large Ti-Lite IV get a lot of comments - the Ti-Lite is my summertime grill knife. My other large "show-off" knives are the Ontario Hossom Retribution, and CRKT M21 in grey anodized aluminum.
