Hello all,

I received a set of knives today that I ordered a while ago, realized that one of the knife has a major liner lock issue.

It's pretty darn horrible locking and just looking at it kinda scares me. I would say about 2.5% liner is in touch with the blade tang. I don't think have seen anything this bad in my LIMITED knife experience.
Any suggestion on how to fix the problem? I'm considering adjusting the liner side. I initially bought this knife as a gift, but I don't think I should do that for safety. The blade is made out of 8Cr14 and I think the liner material is 420J.

Thanks.

You can simply disassemble the knife and then bend the liner in a little ways. I'd suggest looking up videos on youtube on how to bend a lockbar. I'm sure that would be more helpful than my explanation.

Thanks guys. Lock up is much better after millions of hard wrist flicking.

After

Lock up is tight enough for all simple daily duties.

I was going to say disassemble and use some sand paper and a light tough to remove some of the material from the top of the lock........but what you did accomplished the same goal.
