Recommendation for $500 folder

So I am finally ready for my first high end folder and I would like to spend around $500 plus or minus. I have been looking at a few options both mid-tech, custom and high-end production. Not really a huge fan of the CRK knives, I want something a little more unique. I do like the looks of the Strider CC SNG, but I have heard mixed QC results. I also have looked at the knigdom armory mini-samaritan and even thought about stretching for a field grade bodega. As far as what I like, between 3-4 inch blade, any shapes but I love a good wharnie. I really want a very nice EDC to step up my game from my $200 average knives. I am really liking my spyderco techno (although a little small for me) as well as my spyderco southard. I also like the ZT0561, but this is a little large. My Vallotton is also a favorite, but not carried much. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

500 gets you titanium and damascus from lionsteel.

Check out Brian Tighe he makes some sweet knives, they start around $500.

Any other suggestions? I do like the lionsteel knives, I have the SR1-A but no ti-spine yet. Not really into the Tighe, but that's just me.

If you have a penchant for some of the more "rugged" knives you mention why not look at a Grayman Satu or an Emerson UBR Commander or HD-7 (if you can find one)?

The new Medford Tff-3 with the sheepsfoot blade looks like a really nice EDC folder if you like some heft to your knife.

Yes, do look into Emerson or Strider, if you want a tough EDC that could get you out of a jam.
Go for a Spyderco if you want a nice EDC slicer.

Create your own and have Alan Davis make it for you the way you want it!! Good Luck! Kevin :thumbup:
