I've been very intrested in getting a friction folder latley. I've seen people on the forums with custom friction folders. I don;t really know where to start, who makes these? I'm aware of brands like svord and higonokami who make affordable friction folders. They are certainley cool, but I'm looking for something more moder.

Are there in makers that you can't point me into the direction of that make more modern friction folders? I'm talking about FFs that use g-10 and steels like s30v and 154cm. Are there any production companies that make something along the lines of what I'm talkign about? I won't pay anything over $150.

Any help is appreciated.

Hiroaki Ohta makes a great small friction folder with a hand-rubbed ATS-34 modified Wharncliffe blade and an ironwood handle for $140. Arizona Custom Knives has a couple in stock.

Knifeart.com has the larger version, but for $250.
