As the name of the thread states, I was hoping that some more experienced BF members could point me in the right direction for a sub-3" custom. My requirements are:
User grade (basic materials, ergonomically correct design, no crazy bladeshapes, no zero grinds, not overbuilt but not flimsy either, etc.)
Made by a maker who has decent secondary market prices(Looking to spend no more than $700)
Made by a maker who has a reputation for having EXCELLENT customer service

Thank you all for your help!

Cliff Parker Owns the 3" and under locking folder market, but not in that price range...
He does fit all the other criteria though. Might be worth asking him how much for a basic user?

Check out Three Sisters Forge, Jim Allen has excellent customer service and the the TSF Beast is right at 3". Im sure he would be able to grind the blade down slightly to meet a legal requirement if that is a concern. You should also check out Chris Reeve's small Sebenza, that sounds about perfect for what you are looking for.
