Recommendation for quality folder

I need a good, solid folder for day to day use. It does not need to be automatic, but that would be preferable. My price range is under $200. I do not like plastic handles (e.g. Cold Steel, even though I love their fized blades). Nothing fancy (I'd hate to scuff up a fancy engraving or signature), and a high quality blade. Maybe 7" long open, give or take. Thanx guys,

Given that you want a knife with an OAL of 7" or so, I cannot recommend an automatic since autos over 2 " are illegal in California. Instead, I recommend the Kershaw Avalanche. It is 7.5", not 7", but it is a great knife with a CPM 440V blade. Plus, the speed safe works about like an auto anyway. If you want something smaller, bet a Spyderco Native in CPM 440V or a Spyderco Calypso Jr. lightweight.
 
I'm sorry, I missed your point about not liking plastic. Get a William Henry Spearpoint in carbon fiber. The 3" version is one hell of gent's knife and sturdy folder.

if your not worried about the automatic law in ca. get a michrotec ludt, you will not be disapointed.
 
Ya No ,.. You want to carry something every time you getit,.But That stuff Gets old .Me I carry a Bill Collins Little Rascal . great knive . sorry wasn't sappose to tell ya about that one.
 
Please, allow me to reccomend the Elishewitz designed Benchmade 730. Its a very very sweet knife!
