Hey guys

I wanted to buy a folder for two of my friends. Can someone recommend me some good US made knives for around $30?

Thanks.

You might wanna try a Kershaw Leek. Hailed many times over as one of the best Made in USA EDC knives in your price range. You might go a buck or two over budget, but it's worth it in my opinion.

Kershaw Skyline?

You're not really going to find a whole lot of folders in that price range made in the USA, but there are a few.

At that price range, you're probably looking at Buck. The Buck 110 is normally around $30, and the Buck Bantam line run $15-25 depending on which size you get. They have other options in that price range, too.

Beyond that, you may be able to find a Kershaw Skyline, Chive, Leek, or Scallion down that low(esp if you buy used), but from my shopping they're all usually $35-40 if you're not buying them on Ebay or something(Kershawguy may have blems around $30 too).

Kershaw Leek is a great knife, I also ordered a Skyline and a Spyderco Tenacious which will probably be delivered today.

I just got a Kershaw Zing Black Tanto for $35 shipped and I am literally blown away. Super underrated. I think it is my new favorite over my Cold Steel Mini Recon 1, ESEE Zancudo and Ontario Rat Model 2.

Thanks for the recommendations.
I'm not a big fan of the Leek, but will check out the other ones they make.
Sadly the cheaper Spydercos are not made here in the states

I'm not a fan of the Leek either (sue me). The Zing is 100x better in my opinion.

You may be able to get a Spyderco UKPK for around your price range. US made labor is pricey compared to the stuff imported, fact of life.
