What is a small knife I can EDC. Preferably like a money clip knife, but I will not be using it as a money clip. I just want something small, nice, and under $50.00.

So far I've been thinking the Boker Subcom. Any others you guys can suggest? thanks.

I'm partial to the Buck Colleague.

Spyderco Ladybug is nice.

Also look at the A. G. Russell™ 2.5 Titanium Lockback Folder

If you can find one the Fox Trendy and Big Trendy from Italy are really nice. They come in styles to suit everyone from full black with G10 tactical to damascus with mother of pearl gents knife. Similar concept to the CRKT KISS and Gerber Ridge but way higher quality. The Big Trendy is 6" overall with a 2 3/8" blade. Mine is all black with a 440C blade. Pretty cool.

On my keyring is a small 1 1/2" Swiss Army Knife with thin scary-sharp blade, scissors, file, tweezers, and toothpick. It's $10 from Switzerland or $1 from China. Both work.

There have been many times I found myself wishing I had a small blade handy, and then remembered my keyring.

There are LOTS of very small knives around, many good ones made by people like Spyderco for example.

Currently I have a #2 Opinel hanging off my keyring.

It's pretty long but very thin and VERY useful with its three (the file is for small philips heads) screwdrivers.

The Victorinox Cadet.

It's nothing at all like the Boker you mentioned, but I've been carrying a very small Victorinox at work called the Stylus. I use the PDA stylus at work regularly, but if you don't need that particular tool there are many different models available in the same size with a variety of tool and blade choices.

Happy shopping!

EDIT: oops, didn't see the $50 part, this doesn't apply then.:o

Define small. To me, small would be the Keycom Chad Los Banos designed for Boker. A little bigger would be some of the mouse knives like MicroTech, or a Kershaw Chive. As much as I like the Sub/Wharcom's, that is going to feel bulky and heavy imo.

Think Knarfeng got it. AG Russel offers three related knives, the slipjoint Ultimate Penknife and similar lockbacks in 2.5 and 3 inch sizes. All have titanium handles and all are comfortably under $50.

if you dont plan to use it as a money clip and possibly just a small carry look at the Boker MAgnum Damascus Lady, its small and real nice. I bought one and gave it to my uncle for work because he really liked it. will be buying a few more soon. They range from 20-22 bucks I ordered mines off of knifecenter.com

I showed it to my co-workers (all women) and they thought it was "Cute" and non threatening compared to other knives I have brought to work.

It doesn't have a clip and certainly doesn't need one as it rides in a pocket nicely.

Case Mini Trapper: It's what I'm carrying in my pocket as my EDC this month.
