Hey guys,

I am in the market for an Elmax PM2 or an S90V Yojimbo 2. Which would be the better buy and, if I had to resell one, which would be the easiest? Thanks!

Spyderco can't make either fast enough right now so get which ever one you want at the price you want. Either one will re-sell if priced correctly, so if that is what you are concerned about, then be careful choosing. For me, the PM2 has slightly better ergos, but the Yo2's wharnie blade is spectacular for what it was designed for - power towards the tip for deep slash penetration to cut flexor tendons.

I will not order the PM2 from Bento. I absolutely think what they are doing is ridiculous!! Their business practices are shady as a 20 year old oak tree. They are making folks buy a bomb of a knife that they had made and couldn't sell just to get a knife we want. It's like taking out a pretty girl, and her gross friend comes along too. They are holding the PM2 hostage to sell the knife that they can't.

I know folks will buy them, and that's fine. It just won't be me. YMMV.

I personally like the yojimbo 2 better. I own and love both, the pm2 took some warming up to for me, whereas the yojimbo I instantly loved. Some people complain it pinches you when you open it (which the pm2 and yo2 both do to me), but I only open it with the middle finger flick which alleviates the problem.

I think a pm2 is a great knife but an Elmax pm2 for 200.00 is expensive.

Carbon fiber and S90V, that sounds like the Yoji 2 is gonna be north of $200 as well, so both are gonna set you back, but I'd say go for the PM2.
That being said, I admit, I am only saying that because I want the Yojimbo 2 and KW has burned me before, so I'm trying to minimize competition :P

Especially since it's not really going to offer any performance benefit compared to the S30V version at just a little over half the price.

I was contemplating whether or not to even mention the Yoji 2. Sadly I did haha

I have had both the PM2 and Yojimbo 2, but I don't have the Yojimbo anymore. The PM2 is hard to beat.
