Anyone have a good recommendation for a good (inexpensive) folding saw for bushcraft use?

THANKS!

(Doesnt Home Depot sell some?)

Do yourself a solid, and go to Lowes and get you a corona folding saw. Damn nice saw, runs 20 bucks. Ive had mine for quite some time, and really put it through its paces. Damn thing stays sharp, and hasn gave me one ounce of trouble!!

In the lawn and garden section.

I have one with pretty fine teeth by Fiskers and a Gerber with much more aggressive pattern. Both are great. Sandvik once offered a cool set. I don't know if they still offer it or not, but if I was looking tor one now, I would see if they are still around. Good luck.

I broke a gerber folding saw the second time I used it. The sliding fiskar/gerber saws are nice. The folding Opinel saws are great too.....

But IMO the Corona takes the cake as far as cheapo folding saws. Then their are the Silkys for quite a bit more coin.....

Felco and ARS make good saws. I once picked up a cheapy at Big Lots for around 5 dollars and it was worth the money as well.

Silky, Kershaw(Bahco), and Gerber/Fiskars is what I would recomend. The Gerber/Fiskars being the cheapest. The nice thing about the Gerber is you can get replacement blades.

The Fiskars PowerTooth saws are light weight, strong, and cut pretty well. They also run about $12-15. The Silky saws are the cadillacs of the breed.

I've got a Corona as well and like it very much. Plus they come with a lifetime warranty. Not bad for about $20.

I have the Fiskars and it's ok.
I usually take the Trailblazer Sawvivor. The 18" version weighs 10oz and just burns through wood.

I have the Kershaw folding saw 2550 model ,locks in the folded position and locks in the open position as well. Sharp and zips thru wood...
Swedish saw steel blade Santoprene molded handle Push button safety lock Includes lanyard hole Blade- 7in. Overall- 16in. Cool little saw

CountyComm's has the Gerber folding saws, and they work great. Most of the time thou I just use the one on my SAK. Works great... of course I aint gonna attack anything too big with it. The gerber works just fine and it is pretty cheap/easy to pack.

I also use a pocket chainsaw. I just fit it up into a frame saw once I get out into the woods.

The Kershaw saw is the same thing as a bahco, but good luck finding one everybody is sold out.
