Recommendation, Small-ish beater replacement

So anyways I just broke my beater knife last night. A S&W CK105H, had it for maybe 10 years. I never really cared for it but it was useful as a knife so I kept it; it did everything I would normally cringe at. Sharpening/shaping practice, used in dirty jobs, thrown, and generally dicked around with.

The few other knives I have I can't bear to demote to beater status so now I want a replacement for general use. Another knife that will take the brunt of dirty/oddball jobs
-Cheap so I don't feel bad if it gets some abuse
-Decent as a bushcraft/edc knife
-3" or smaller blade, 7" overall or smaller
-Fixed or folding, although I'm quite partial to fixed blades right now

Definitely interested in Mora's, anything else out there around $40 or less? I'm not buying anytime soon, just want to see what you guys think.

Moras are my favorite budget bushcraft blade. There are many Moras to choose from and they're all great. Alternatively, for $5-10 over your budget, you could pick up an ESEE Izula or Candiru, which are (really) fantastic small EDC-able fixed blades, from a company with a bulletproof reputation and unbeatable warranty (if it breaks under any circumstances, they replace it no questions asked).

Edit: If you're willing to go a bit over your blade length limit (3.8ish inches I think) the Becker BK11 or BK14 are also great options in your price range.

I should say minimal bushcraft use, a carving knife really. Sorry

My woods knife is an Esee 4. It's 9" overall so I want something around 2" smaller or more. A Kershaw Leek is my EDC but it's too thin for most jobs. I always thought Moras would fill this role perfectly and I know I'll eventually get one cause it's so cheap.
I usually don't mind paying more for a knife if I like it. (I bought the Kershaw Leek in 08 for $70, I see them now less than half that. Did I fudge it up then? or was it just released? I can't find the launch date) I want a knife to fill the role of beater more than anything though. So priced $40 or under is important. Next thing is it has to be strong enough to take on all sorts of odd jobs. After that it's all superficial, again I'm just researching.

Check out the Kershaw Emerson Collab line. I got my cqc-1k a week ago and it's a great beater for only $30 bucks. Took a hair shaving edge, and there's seven other models to choose from. the 1k is smaller than the others but would probably work well if you are to be carving with it.

The Zancudo, CQC-5K, and Kershaw Cryo all look really great.

What about wharncliffe and sheepsfoot blades? It'd be awesome to have a less common shape that's still easy to maintain. (no s-curves etc) Also reverse tanto's interest me.
Thanks for the replies.

Cold Steel Tuff Lite ~ $30; Kabar Dozier folding hunter ~ $20; Kabar BK-14 ~$35 (as I recall). I prefer the BK-24 that runs around $50.

Get an Izula. They are just under 3" and ESEE has the best warranty around. Once you break it, you can send it in for warranty and get another ;)

Opinel no.8 looks really great. I do like older looking knives a lot. Starting to build a list, thanks guys.

The list so far - Like a lot - Like - Not really to my taste

Folder: Kershaw Cryo, Opinel no.8, Kershaw CQC-5K, Esee Zancudo, Douk Douk, Cold Steel Tuff Lite(I wish it was a 3" blade though), Kabar Dozier FoldHunter(A little boring), Kershaw CQC 1K, Ganzo 710, Cold Steel Mini Recon 1, Spyderco Delica

Fixed: Morakniv Wood Carving 106, Esee Izula, Ka-bar BK24, Esee Candiru, HD Mora, Ka-bar BK14, Ka-bar BK11,

Other stuff I only glanced at but like the look of: Kershaw Corral Creek Sheepsfoot, Colonial Knife Company Marlin Spike, Camillus Specialty Ti Marlin Spike Pocket Knife Bamboo, Joseph Rodgers lambsfoot knife

I just remembered that I haven't been with a good multi-tool in a while. I loved the leatherman skeletool, too many gadgets is a con rather than a plus for me. Knife, pliers, bit driver, perfect. Multi-tool suggestions anyone?
