I was hoping to nab The Gaucho that Andy made recently, but another lucky member snatched it up just before I got the money together. This means that I have ~$200 available for another one of Andy's knives. I'm debating between the Bushcrafter Sr. or the Woodsman. Regardless, I'll have to wait for the right handle combination to become available. Based on the passaround pics and those tonym posted earlier, I'm leaning towards the Woodsman. I have some shorter fixed blades, so I'd like to get a larger one with my next purchase. Any recommendations?

What would you like to use it for! Since you like the Goucho knife I assume you want something for food prep. The Woodsman will work great for that as well as handle your outdoor chores as well.

I just like the look of the Gaucho and want a bigger knife. The Gaucho probably wouldn't have been very practical, but that wouldn't have stopped me from buying it:)

The next run of woodsmen is going to feature Cocobolo layered with some Osage!

I'm going to finish up this run within a month, and start the next one soon after.

Either way I think you will be happy. The Woodsman is closer to the Gaucho design so I think that is a better fit.

Andy has a new prototype coming off the bench (hopefully this weekend) called the Hunter. I'm planning to bring this bad boy home. Similar to the Woodsman, but with a tapered tang, slightly shorter blade and awesome handle combo.
