Im looking for a tanto, would like ball bearings, micarta or carbon scales and some type of super steel or damascus for the blade m390 would probably be my first choice. I really liked the a2 a3 but i can never find one.

Hinderer makes some tanto blades, like the XM-18 and Eklipse. Throw in a scale swap to CF or micarta and I think you can hit all of those marks.

I've never owned a Hoback, but my sense of their price point is that a tricked-out Hinderer will wind up in the same ballpark.

A Microtech Socom Elite tanto would get you everything but the CF/micarta.

How big are you thinking blade-length? Any specific budget? The first knife that came to my mind was the XM-18, specifically a more recent version that introduced their bearing system. You can get micarta and CF scales and there is some steel variety.

Id like to keep it at $650 or so and id like to stay around the size of a large sebenza, I will check into those

Gamma from Valence knives. M390. Mine is titanium but you might be able to ask for a carbon scale.
