alrighty, i asked for some opinions on the benchmade 53 and got nothing

but now i'm hoping for a one or the other here... i've been drooling over the 53 for a bit, but then i discovered the 790 and my is she purty...

i like bm's d2, i have it in their 940. i like that the 53 has a near 3" blade length, which is what i'm looking for

however the 790 is very attractive. i've heard nothing but good things about their s30v. its a nitrous assisted ti frame lock. thats a plus for me. both are similar prices.

so opinions please, one or another. feel free to suggest other knives i may be interested in with these two knives as templates i just don't want this to become a brand junkie battle royale

Are you talking about the model 53 balisong? If so you may want to post this in the Balisong Forum just below General Knife Discussion.

I don't have, but have handled, the 790. BM does a good job of making the framelock and the 790 I handled was no exception. I just like more weight in a knife than the 790 offered so I passed on it. As far as the fit/finish, and design, the Subrosa is very nice.

i figured this one gets more exposure and i was asking for opinions for a choice between the two, one bali and one ti frame lock... so i was torn on where to put it
