Alright the time has com for me to get a new pack. I am considering the following:
-Eagle Industries Becker Patrol Pack
-Blackhawk Industries raptor Pack
-Blackhawk Industries Patrol Pack

I think this thread was started before but I would like some input. If there are any packs in this size that would also need to be mentioned to take alok at, let me know.

Dan, I have the Becker patrol pack in camo. It is the finest backpack I have ever seen! The overall workmanship is superb and the pockets, etc; are just perfect for me as I rarely use mine for over two day. They say you can pack enough in it for three days though. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a high, quality backpack. Just my two cents!

turkeyman,
Make that 4 cents - I got mine a couple of weeks ago (Thanks Brad at LightFighter.com) - Mine's OD, and I LOVE it.

Unlike many, I carry my gear every day (The guys at work think I'm nuts) - bit I take mass transit to work, and have about 1.25 miles to go each way to get to the train - so I hoof it with my pack

The Becker gets my vote

What you use the bag for and how much you plan on carrying will of course have a pretty good impact on which bag you need.

The Becker is a great pack!

Here are some more ideas for you:

The Blackhawk X1 RAPTOR pack
983.jpg

It has a large external "utility pouch" on the right side and one combo "Pop-Flare Pouch and Radio Pouch" on the left side.
All material is Heavy Duty 1000D Nytaneon®, with all seams Quad-stitched and Trim Taped Edges.
It includes the Patented HydraStorm Hydration 100 oz System.
The shoulder straps and waist belt are packed with a .5" closed cell foam and have an additional fully adjustable extreme load carry suspension system. Drain holes are provided for each compartment.
Dimensions:
28"H x 13.5"W x 6.75"D
Cubes: 2500 in.

The pack I am using right now is the X1's big brother - the X3 RAPTOR pack

OVERALL CUBIC INCHES: 3,830 - lots of pockets :D

and of course - the Patrol Pack.

1. Eagle
2. Eagle
3. Eagle
4. Tactical Tailor
5. Did I mention Eagle yet?
I have never owned a Tactical tailor pack but have seen a few and can say If I didn't buy Eagle thats what I would buy.
Go check out Brad at Lightfighter.com he's got all kinds to look at. Good luck.

Thanks for the replies so far guys, I thought I was the only one with good taste:rolleyes: Thank you for the pics Dan. I think that both the RAPTOR as well as the Becker Patrol pack both have their advantages, and it just comes down to which one fits the bill better for me personally.

I love my Becker Patrol Pack. I carried it all summer long and beat the **** out if as much as my environment allowed, pretty much was in the woods and bouncing off concrete the whole time without a single problem. I have another Eagle pack (A-III with accessories) inbound, but only because i can stuff more into it. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the Eagle Ind. packs.

Thanks, Tique. I thank I amde up my mind on the Eagle. I have owned a couple of their products and have enjoyed them and they do take a beating.

Rm, thank you for the suggestion. It is something else that I might have to take a look at.

Can't go too far wrong with a CamelBack either as the nylon pack portion is made by Eagle Industries. Go to their web site and check them out.
