Heys guys, So I want a new watch, I currently have MWC and a G shock, I was looking at CWC watches but no one really has experience with them, Id like to keep my budget at 600 and have been looking at some Seikos but im very picky when it comes to watches, I like to keep it simple but classy at the same time. I also love military style which is why I want a CWC( they supply the British special forces) so give me a few ideas!

My "takes a licking and keeps on ticking" watch is a Reactor. They have tritium in the dial, use a ton of lume, and have great QC (they actually pressure test everything) and customer service.
Prices are a little steep on new ones, but clearance or refurbished models don't seem too difficult to find (I got mine for $150 at 50% off).
(Forgot to mention the ten year battery life, o-rings on the crown for mild water resistance with the crown out, and wrist bands that are bolted onto the body, no wimpy spring pins here.)

The watch I'm currently wearing is an Alpha, ordered direct from Hong Kong. It's a self winding mechanical, and keeps time to within 3 seconds per day. Basically it's a $75 watch that runs within COSC specs (YMMV, but my other one runs about the same).
The downside is that it came with the seal bent and started fogging when I took a shower (that was depressing), then when I got that fixed it took about a month before the screw holding the winding wheel fell out (which was also an easy fix), now that I have some loc-tite on that it should go for a while longer. I still use hammers and violent power tools when wearing the watch, so I don't know if a Rolex would have behaved any differently.
With those watches you should read up on which bands are the good ones (if you like stainless bracelets). Some of them are not so great while others are really nice, and since you can order them independently there's a good chance the watch you like will fit one of the better bands.

I actually like one of the reactors, The Helium. But I should have added I want a skeletonized face on it. I was looking at Bulova or Invicta

Try a Kadloo. German made with ETA movements. Mine was $500.

thanks for all the input, Im terribly picky when it comes to watches. I do have to say, I like the Kadloo. Very nice piece. Id love a Rolex Datejust, I really enjoy the Roman Numerals, But Im not sure I could ever find one at a half decent price

You might be able to find a MArathon GSAR for around $600, you can add a bracelet later to really dress it up. Has a ETA 2824-A2 movement, Sapphire, stainless case, ratcheting bezel and Tritium dial/hands. Love mine.

There are a lot of pretend watch manufacturers on the internet, you have to check them out carefully to see if they are real watch companies or not. Granted there are a lot of small "boutique" companies that make quality products in low quantities but there are also a lot of small companies that have very cheap watches made for them by other companies and sell them at very high markup. I saw someone on another forum talking about their new watch and I looked it up. Turns out it is a watch that they supposedly have made in Germany using a $5 Japanese movement and they sell it for $400. You can buy similar quality watches on ebay for $50. You can buy a used Steinhart and get a real swiss watch with a real swiss movement for that price. Don't buy a $50 fake Sebenza and pay real Sebenza prices for it.

Stowa, Seiko, Fortis, Hamilton, Steinhart, Debaufre, Marathon are some examples of real watch companies, all I could think of in the mid price ranges off the top of my head.

I'll second this.
