I really wanted to get one of the Maratac small Bailout Bags at County Comm, but they have been out of stock every time I check for the past year!
Any ideas of a bag similar to that by a different manufacturer? I am tired of checking with them! Thanks for any help!

We're essentially talking about a big tactical "purse", right?

Looks as if the features are specifically designed with specific tactical issues in mind... Place for your handgun. Place for tactical lights. Place for pens. Place for a "stinger".

Plenty of large gear bag/duffle sorts of solutions to hold gear while being able to be carried or lugged and while keeping things organized. I know guys who large soft sided carpenter's tools bags as their range bags.

Large bike messenger type courier bags have a lot of room and tend to be very rugged while allowing for longer distance carry.

Most sporting goods and department stores sell small to mid sized duffel bag/gym bags. They usually have both soft handles, shoulder strap and lots of organizing compartments.

Small backpacks, especially those oriented towards commuters and students have lots of organization features and will provide for better carrying than either that tactical bag or a courier bag.

Army/Navy stores usually carry a supply of shooter or mechanic bags, along with a variety of shoulder bags like ammo or medic bags.

Lastly, I use a large, unpadded hip belt. Keep my kit in the trunk of the car. It can be worn as is for long distances very comfortably and can be dropped into any other larger bag at a moment's notice with no need to repack anything and no weight penalty.

Of course, none of these options will have that tactical "look" unless you get a small military rucksack or old military satchel.
