Recommendations please.

What would you guys recommend for a backup knife similar to a Delica PE FRN. around $100, 3" blade, pocket carry, clip if poss., strong, dependable yet relatively light.

Maybe another Delica you say, but I'd like a change. Any other ideas in this category ?

I do like "round holes" but would consider other makes.

Go to A. G. Russell's website and pic up a Camillus E.D.C. in D2. It will cost you around $85.00 and it is worth every penny. It has a 3" blade, skeletanized aluminum handle, frame lock, and a pocket clip. JMHO

Based on your requirements, I second the call on the D-2 EDC

I third the EDC. I have on in 154cm. Great knife for the money. Slim, sturdy and sharp

You might want to give the Kabar Thorn a look also. Barring that the Camillus EDC is a great choice.

Benchmade MiniGriptilian is another excellent option. Comfortable handle, lightweight, good steel, and Axis lock. The 555 has an oval thumb hole. I should add that IMHO the oval hole does not work as well as the round Spydie hole, but the Axis lock is very smooth, which helps offset this.

Thanks for your replies. I'm seriously considering the Camillus EDC now! I just read a review by Buzzbait and have been convinced even more. Sounds perfect and a great price.
