I was wondering if anyone could possible suggest a good site to buy the unique or computer graphics small Sebenza? I did some Google searches but some the sites seamed a little dated and or sketchy but i dont really care what a site looks like as long as get what i pay for. i have wanted one these knives since i held one last year i just haven't able to carry a knife for a while. i might just settle for the "basic" handle but im looking for more of "gentleman's" knife if you will.

p.s i was looking at the Chris Reeve page and saw they had an order form how does that work? would I just fill it out and mail or fax it in? i am use to buying knives from sites like amazon or at a B&M or at the occasional gun and knife show not through a direct web site like the crk so please forgive my ignorance. thank you for reading

If you really want something unique I recommend you contact Heather via email and design your own handle. Doesn't have to be fancy, can be simple or a graphic you pull off the web somehow. There is a small fee for setting it up, but if I remember right it's only about $50.

That being said, if you'd rather find existing stuff I'd recommend www.truenorthknives.com. They usually seem to have a good selection of stuff and get new things pretty often.

cool i didnt know custom was an option i have an idea in my my head but doubt it will be original.lol now that i know that i might wait and see how some things pan out then see what they can do for me. thank you for your help

I see that Plaza Cutlery just posted a few new small Sebenza 21's with unique graphics. They have a rock-solid reputation, and a great online store. Let us know what you end up getting!

You can get some neat stuff done. I saw one that I really liked, can't remember who did it, but it was based on the battle of Termopili (sp?), but well before the movie 300 came out. Had the famous quote "Molan Labe" (althought spelled correctly in greek) and a few other things on it. Maybe some has a pic?

Here's one I made for my brothers and I (our last name is Pepper). It only took them about a month to make these for me.

This is a design I gave them for my personnal knife, my family. Been over a year and a half, but that's because I wanted a damascus blade with it. Should be ready soon I've been told. The first pic is what I sent them, the second is what they sent me back. Can't wait to get it.

I drew that picture with photoshop and cut/paste the people off some bumper sticker website. :) So they'll work with you. The downside to ordering a custom is that they're hard to sell. I doubt anyone will ever want to buy my I'm a Pepper graphic if I for some odd reason wanted to give it up.

^^^^ You could hang out at a Dr. Pepper plant & sell it as a unique piece of memorabilia or Americana. "I'm a Pepper, you're a Pepper, wouldn't you like to be a Pepper too!!!" Those were the days

that's cool i was thinking of seeing if i could get airborne wings engraved on it. but what ever i decided to do ill post pics when i get. it will be another month or so befor I order on though.

the battle of Thermopylae?!? i bet that's really cool i would love to see a pic

I was just thinking the same thing.
Any "Dr." Peppers in the family? That would be a hoot!

j-mon - If you don't wind up ordering one of your own design, just be vigilant in your search and I am sure you will spot one that speaks to you.
corwise - :D The family portrait is really cool. A great idea.

i am thinking something like this.i the copy paste job is really bad and of course it would be just the the etching not the white part.

I wonder if an actual airborne insignia would fit and if it could somehow be permanently attached to the titanium?

i bet it could be done but i would not use the same metal that they sell at the mcss. but a relief engraving would be cool. but im trying to stay in the 500$ or 600$ area. as far as price goes

j-mon,
I think the airborne wings wouild be cool. There would probably be room to put something else, maybe the year you got them off to the side? Or your unit? I'd bet they would easily stay in your price range. Just email or call CRK and they can fill you in. Let us know what you decide.

One of my brothers has his doctorate, although in economics, so not nearly as cool. :) His wife however, and my sister, are both doctors, so they of course get loads of grief. I didn't buy the ladies knives though. A: It'd add a lot to the expense. and B: They just wouldn't appreciate them. :)
