i would like put a longer axe handle on a relatively small axe head ,can anyone recommend a good place to order a handle,

i would say first start with your local hardware or farm supply store. they usually carry handles, around here atleast.

If you get a 28" you can probably take it down to fit a smaller eye. I am typically partial to hand made handles though, they are pretty easy to make and its a great skill to have.
