recommended files

i need to buy some new files. when i wear them out,i would like to turn them into knife blades. can you reccommend a brand and type of file which would
be good for this application.

It is hard to beat Nicholson files. They make pretty darn good blades in their second life.

I've had good results with Simmonds as well as Nicholson files. Both as files and as knife blades.
