Recommended Folder?

Hi,

I have owned a Spyderco Paramilitary which I loved, yet let go.

I have a question as to what people suggest as a folder with similar specs of a Spyderco Paramilitary? I prefer Spydercos as I like the price range, length, blade thickness, material (S30V) and G10 scales. The only thing I did not like about the Paramilitary is the lack of tight lockup when the knife is closed. I really appreciate any input people have regarding this question.

I have a Caly3 that has a lock up that would rival any Sebenza. I saw on one thread where Sal said the Caly3 was made in the same Seki city factory as William Henrys. Older design than newer offerings, but a classic. No S30V....VG10 or ZDP.

Yep, I'd have to agree, the Military would be a good replacement.

I assumed he was talking about blade retention.

If not the Para then I would suggest the Stretch, either CF or the new FRN model.

As is mine, but there are things with tighter retention (most backlocks, BBL/CBBL).

Thanks for the input fellas. Ya it was blade retention not lock up I was referring to. It wasn't horrible, just not as tight as I'd hoped for. I will look into the other suggested knives. Have a good week.
