Recommended hacksaw blade for cutting 1080 steel?

I'd try a Lenox bimetal 18 TPI hacksaw blade. If that doesn't work, then the steel has been hardened, and needs to be annealed before it can be cut with a saw. If annealing it isn't an option, then use an abrasive fiber cut-off disk in a die grinder or a metal chop saw.

Equally important with Lenox blades is using a high tension hacksaw. They are available at HD/Lowes and cost about $25. The difference is amazing.

High tension!! It saves blades. Keep a few teeth of the blade, generally around 3, on the width of the steel as a rule of thumb. Put a clamp or something on the end to stop vibration.
