I am new to knife making and I am looking for suggestions on reading and reference books. I am starting with some full tang knives with no bolster. For the handles I am using some materials I already have in my shop. I am looking for some books that show various methods to build this type. Any suggestions/recommendations are appreciated.

Thanks, Robert

Might as well start with the best first. “Knifemaking with Bob Loveless”.

You also might want to try the knife making section, I'm sure there is a ton of knowledge that could be useful. Good luck and don't forget to show us what you make!

Try Ed Fowlers' book "knife talk II". A great read and a wealth of info for knife makers.

Honesty, there really isn't a good book on knife making.

Your best bet is to try to find hands on instruction. There may be a knife maker in your area willing to teach you.

If that's not possible, this forum has a ton of information and people are always willing to answer questions.
