Recommended Spyderco Folder?

Hi,

I have owned a Spyderco Paramilitary which I loved, yet let go.

I have a question as to what people suggest as a folder with similar specs of a Spyderco Paramilitary? I prefer Spydercos as I like the price range, blade thickness, material (S30V) and G10 scales. The only thing I did not like about the Paramilitary is the lack of tight lockup when the knife is closed. I really appreciate any input people have regarding this question.

Thank you

I think you'll find this thread being moved pretty soon from the Traditional forum
probably over to either General or Spyderco section, but, in the mean time
my recommendation would be the FRN Stretch as I just got one and really love it
see this Thread for a review

This should not be in Traditional.

I was beat to it. :o

The Manix 2 in S90V is very nice, the Military works too. For G-10 you could also look at the Caly3, or the Chinook 3.

Spyderco Police 3 G10

Spuderco Endura 4 G10

both are very tight, strong, sharp, vg10 steel, made in seki city, japan. they'll run you at about 100-125 dollars.

Best? No. Best value? Maybe...

Why do you say that? For what reasons is the Tenacious not the best? It opens faster than the other Spydercos, it's got an excellent no-slip grip, great leaf blade shape (for both EDC and stabbing attackers), low friction phosphor bushings, no blade play, and low grain steel that can obtain a super smooth edge.

For EDC, the full flat grind makes it a better cutter, and it's got good belly for slicing. Blade has thumb studs on the back which is more than can be said for some of the other Spydercos. You can relocate the pocket clip to many different positions as well.

It's the best tactical spyderco for sure, because of lightness, blade shape and length (for penetration), and your hands would not slip when the knife is lubricated with blood, in the heat of the defense of your life.

To me, also the nicest looking Spyderco folder.
