Hi everyone!

I just got a nice leather strop from mr2blue, and was wondering what stropping compounds you like best, and why.

Thank you. :)

PM'd you. I like to use the semi-liquid chromium oxide for my primary stropping compound when hand stropping. Prefer it over the pastes and bar compounds. Goes on easily and, when dry, produces great results.

Here are my hand strops:

Obviously, second from the left is the chromium oxide.

They're really cheap to make .... some scrap wood, leather strips (or scrap denim), and a little gorilla glue! Of course, you need the various compounds .... but a little goes a long way!

+1 on the green chromium oxide compound.

I do all of my stropping on this.

Lately I use .5 micron Hand American Diamond Spray on a Kangaroo strop for the edge pro, but before that I was using A knives Plus strop block with .5 chromium oxide. So far its been great but its for an Edge Pro, its a little small but I use it fine just freehand. I am planning on getting the EP one day though:thumbup:
