Hello. Looking for a new knife in the ~$60 or less range. I like the blade length and handle size of the Eldris, but would prefer a non plastic/rubber handle and sheath. Could I request some recommendations in the ~$40 budget range?

Will be primarily used as a neck knife in damp/wet conditions. This will replace a Perrin Neck Bowie. Thanks everyone.

Enzo Necker 70? Don't have one, but I see them for sale with wood handles and leather sheaths. A bit bigger, but not much.

I actually just took my eldris out for the first time today. I like alot more than I was expecting. It's a great size and doesn't feel cheap. The handle is suprisingly grippy. You should at least try handling one before you write it off. Otherwise, maybe a stainless izula.

I am not sure what the ESEE Candiru goes for these days, but it might be worth a look.

SOG Instinct? Guy at work carries one. Seems ok for $35.

Real Steel makes a few neck knives. Mini 127II and Mini 130A. Hunter 165 series too.

I love mine. I was amazed at the level of quality for a < $50 knife. You would want the Kydex sheath as opposed to leather sheath which is also available.

+3 on the Enzo Necker. Mine has a full flat grind, and is a superb slicer, and I love the edge retention and very sharp edge that the steel provides for. I bought a bare blade and put cocobolo scales on myself (this was EASY), so the ergos are just right for me.

Another recommendation for the Enzo necker. I own three of them. They can be purchased just as a blank, in a kit form, or as a finished knife.
