Recon 1 clip and spear edge length and ricasso

Anyone else notice that the spear point has more edge length and a much shorter ricasso than the clip? My clip point has the old logo and the spear has the new one. both have same g-10 and DLC. Im wondering if it’s a difference in blade style or a difference in the date of production.

The ricasso lengths have always been different, it’s not a new change.

Thanks for the info. I had the impression they were exactly the same except for shape but that is a difference. I do prefer the spearpoint
