Recon 1 clip help, please?

Can someone please tell me what the Recon clip screws are threaded into? Is it metal or G10, or something else? Thanks.

Mine has thread inserts at the bottom of the holes. BTW, it's an AUS8 model.

They thread into the aluminum back spacer.

edit: Here's a pic where you can see the clip screw holes in the spacer. :thumbup:

My Recon 1 XHP was a bitch to get clipped onto my pants pocket. I used a knife blade to slip under the R1 clip and lifted the clip a bit. I slides much easier over the pocket now. I do not worry about my pockets being destroyed by too much friction trying to remove the knife now.

That's good to know, too. I'm considering the clip point. Beautiful knife.
