Recon 1 nowadays, does the clip have a logo?

Every CS that I have with the curved clip has "Cold Steel" stamped into the steel. I'm not a CS expert but I think the clip matches the blade finish. Is this what you're asking?
And painted all black over letters? Not some bright letters on black clip?
are your cs made less than 2 years ago? Thanks!

My lawman and recon have black blades and black clips with "COLD STEEL"
Both are new versions sub 1 year

Yes, they still have the stamped logo, and the logo is painted along with the rest of the clip, so the whole clip is black. The clip on my flat dark earth 2017 model Recon 1 looks just like this, I was

Beware! Any Cold Steel folder that has a black clip with white lettering is a fake.

You're right. The Rajah II's and Spartans from China with black clips and white lettering are a limited run made by Cold Steel. They offer these at a fraction of the cost of the regular version. Since it is " very doubtful" they are knockoffs, you may want to pick up a couple
liner lock Rajah II's on Ebay right now.

Slightly off topic, but if we expand the OP to "Recent, Minor Cold Steel Changes," well, then, I'm right in the ballpark.
I saw one source that included pics of a flat ground Recon 1... is Cold Steel flat grinding the Recon 1 now? Did they switch to flat grinding any other models? I just threw down on a cheeky Goldeneye and I'd love it if she showed up wearing a high sabre

I just bought the 2017 recon 1 flat dark earth, it is flat ground. See my review thread with pics.

I really want an excuse to buy the new Recon. The value proposition is incredible, but I really don't want another hollow ground version.
Do you know if they ever flat ground the XHP Recons? I need to hit Youtube and do some research...
That's a good question. I have read some say that the flat ground blade is NOT being shipped on all Recon models. Here's what I would suggest. Find the models you want, and check out GPKnives (that's where I bought mine) or another reputable dealer who's participating in this forum. I simply emailed GPKnives before I ordered, asked them to check the specific model I was interested in, and confirm it was flat ground rather than hollow. They did that, great service!
I've sure been getting lucky with great service from knife companies lately. I almost feel like I'm overdue for a bad customer service incident.

Hahah yeah really. Startin' to get too good to be true. Maybe you should order from an irreputable dealer and just get past the incident and clear the conscience.

Speaking of value, search the web for a big retailer offering an incredible sale on Cold Steel currently. Recon 1 s will have to be backordered. But I believe all currently made Recons are flat ground. My two Recons I received from this vendor in the last 3 months were flat ground. MW.
