I've been considering a Recon 1 for a while now. I regret not pulling the trigger on one earlier on an XHP model and the Blades Canada Exclusive almost got me. The new exclusive at Bladehq is about to push me over the edge though.

Good to know although I'm honestly leaning towards the spear point for EDC.
 
I have a couple Recon 1 models. Carrying the clip point version at the moment along with a SAK hiker.

I have found these two tools pair up very well.

You will definitely enjoy it!
 
Just buy one mate, it's a hall of fame knife, arguably one of the best folders money can buy. It's like a Spyderco Military (another hall of fame blade) but with an even stronger lock and similar amazing ergos. And, they cut.
 
The BHQ edition looks great, I may very well get a clip point one.

You really should check out the Recon1.
It is one of the very best work knives imo.
I have a half serrated in aus8 and 2 in XHP one regular and one xl so it will be nice to check out CS s35vn.

Ended up being able to get off work a little early to come home and open this one up.

Wow - why I have not purchased a Recon 1? This is exactly the size knife I like to carry when I'm in blue jeans. The copper finish is cool (a little loud for my taste) but what sold me was the scale color. I like an earth tone type scale quite a bit. Action is great, lock up is excellent, fit and finish are perfect.

Overall this is an excellent knife and I can't wait to put it to use. :)
