If you were going to replace the washers in the Recon 1 and just go with the phosphor bronze without any teflon, what size would you buy?

Today I changed out the original washers on 5 of my Recon 1’s, using the phosphor bronze ones. .625” OD fits nicely.

I also replaced the washers on 3 xl Voyagers, using .015” thickness PB washers. Everything fits well and operates smoothly after mineral oil. Thanks for the washer measurements.

Thank you.
Once they re-open and can ship washers I will get some.
Is there a suggested lube that works well with thesee washers?
I tried 10wt and 85wt nano oil, also tried KPL, basically all the lube that’s the hype right now. I find that 85wt feels the best because there’s a lot of contact areas for triad lock and 85wt maintains the action the best. Lighter weight oil often feel dry after the while.
The only problem with 85wt is that because it doesn’t dry up, it tend to collect a lot of dirt and dusts. If you are worried about pivot getting gunked up, use lighter weight oil.

Nice. I use 0.015” thickness and 0.625”OD for AD10, it has slightly thicker original washers. The new washers give it the Chris Reeve-like “hydraulic” smooth action.
