Recon Bowie 2.0: Thoughts?

Is this a recent release?

Ever since I read about the MACV-SOG operators years back, the Recon Bowie to my mind's eye quickly developed that aura we're all familiar with. The dropped spine, "slicy" blade shape looks very like it could do much more than just being a fighter (like on the regular Tech Bowie).

Really, even just for the collecting aspect of owning it is a knife knut's dream, but check out GT's great review -

As I mentioned over at the noted website, I really like the Recon Bowie, IMHO it is the best-looking SOG ever ..... which of course is meaningless in the context of actually using it.

I've used mine plenty, and it does everything I need it to do. I have the original version with SK-5 steel (my favorite steel) and it's a workhorse. Most definitely one of my keepers.

I also must mention I have a couple of SOG's with the AUS8 steel (which the Recon 2.0 uses) and like it also.
