RECON HAWKS...I've been waiting. So what's going on???

Unfortunately, the Recon Hawk and Camp Boss projects have been canceled. They will not be released anytime in the foreseeable future. Cold Steel apologizes for any inconvenience.
 
I don't know for sure.

My best "educated guess" would be that they ran into quality control problems with the contractor.

So they had to be canceled.
 
The Hawk was eh to begin with. But the camp boss I really really was lookin forward to....
 
To answer some of the inquiries here:
While we were able to create prototypes of the Recon Hawk and Camp Boss models, our final production runs did not meet our QC expectations. We then canceled the project. While very disappointed, we would not release these items unless they were up to Cold Steel standards.
 
i say good riddance. neither appealed much to me. course if the price points had been low enough i might have changed my mind.;) doesnt matter now though.

I respect this mentality and have seen it before with C.S. I seem to remember some hang time years back with the release of the new version Voyagers ?, for whatever reasons. Better to wait and do it right then send out a sloppy product.
