Recon or Swift?

i'm feeling the need for another knife...but I'm having trouble deciding between two. I like the Recon 1 tanto because I like having a tanto blade in regular rotation, and I've been without one for quite a while. I also like the Swift because you can't go wrong with a spear point, and an assisted CS sounds awesome too. I'm not worried about a knife being too big or too heavy. I'm more concerned with how useful the knife is. Factual arguments and baseless opinion are both welcome.

Wait till the newer version of the swift with safety come out first. Some of the first batches of swift has spring temper issue causing the lockbar spring to break easily. That what the CS customer service told me when i had to send in my 2nd swift due to the broken spring. They told me they have since fixed the temper, but not sure if you will get the bad ones so i wouldnt take the risk until the new model is released.

Yeah good plan
Recon 1 is always the safest bet. If it's too big for you, you can try lawman or code 4

I'd always go with a Recon 1. Of course it's one of my all time favorite folders from any manufacturer.

I have a ton of pocket knives. A few of them, are the late model XHP Cold Steels. A Talwar, Ultimate Hunter, Code 4 Spear Point, American Lawman, a 4" Ti Lite. The Recon 1 Tanto kicks everything out of my Pocket. It is the nearest thing to EDC perfection that I have handled.

I've got a spear point HK in D2 pulling EDC duty...spear point is covered. BTW I pulled the trigger on a plain edge tanto with OD green scales.

Just took delivery on that exact model. It's fanfriggentastic!! As on all Cold Steel folders, i had to bend the clip out. Other than that, it's perfect.
