Recon Series Pocket Clips

Does anyone know of a place that sells and aftermarket pocket clip that will fit the current recon series? Doesn't have to be a deep carry clip, just something that is longer and doesn't have the force of a bear trap!

I recently just purchased a bunch of new shorts for Summer time at work, and the material at the pocket is too thick for this small clip (Duluth Trading fire hose fabric is tough stuff BTW)!

If pre-made ones are too hard to find, I'm thinking about picking up a few of those blank titanium clips from USA Knifemaker and creating my own. For the problem of the mounting position being recessed, I can just cut off that portion of the stock clip and use it as filler underneath the new one. I'll need longer screws though.

Sand the handle underneath the clip just a bit. This will make the clip slide over your pants material much easier. You won t need to sand but a few rubs.

I've done that on a Medium G-10 Espada that I have and also a Medium Recon 1. For both, I also bent the part that slides over to have more up-sweep. I wasn't too impressed with the results, the clip is still too short/strong. Much rather just find an aftermarket clip similar what Spyderco uses on their Delica/Endura series. It has enough force without being a P.I.T.A. to clip on pockets made from thicker material.

I think making one from a blank is going to be the way to go. I don't know of anyone making aftermarket clips for CS, nor have I found any ready-made replacements that have the proper screw hole pattern.
